Tin Snips & Aviation Compound Snips
Sheet metal cutters cut with an upward nibbling action and have the advantage of not distorting the sheet. Aviation compound snips provide an accurate cut and usually have a serrated blade to avoid slipping. The conventional tinsnips are available in standard or heavy-duty and all have blades with a ground cutting edge to protect the workpiece from slipping and damage. Most of the tinsnips are available as straight or handed.
