Parallel in width, and slightly tapered in thickness towards the tip. Double cut on both sides, but on one edge only. A safe edge permits work in corners. Available in three grades, coarse (bastard cut), medium (2nd cut), and smooth, and in several sizes, handled or without handle. Used for general filing on ferrous and other none ferrous metals.
