Do you cut keys while I wait?
Yes. Most standard household keys (Yale/Euro cylinder), mortice and padlock keys are cut while you wait. Typical turnaround is 2–5 minutes per key (queue dependent).
Can I get multiple copies at once?
Yes — it’s common to cut 2–4 spares for households, tenants or trades. We can cut multiple keys in one visit while you wait.
Which key types do you cut?
Cylinder keys: Yale, Euro cylinder, rim cylinder
Mortice keys: 5-lever/3-lever (most common household types)
Padlock keys: Many common padlock profiles
Cabinet/locker/postbox keys: Selected profiles (ask in-store)
What if my key is worn, bent or snapped?
Bring all the pieces. If the biting (pattern) is still readable, we can usually create a clean duplicate. If it’s too worn, we’ll advise the best option (e.g., cutting from a better copy).
How accurate are the duplicates?
We use quality blanks and calibrated machines for repeatable cuts. If a freshly cut key doesn’t work, bring it back with the original and we’ll recut/replace.
Do you keep all the common blanks in stock?
We stock a wide range of everyday blanks and popular profiles. If a very niche blank is required, we’ll check availability and advise.
Can you cut from a photo or code?
We don’t cut from photos. For certain coded systems (with the original key card) we can advise; otherwise we need a physical key.
Do I need the lock to cut a key?
No — we duplicate from your working original. If the original is very worn or missing, bring the lock/cylinder if practical and we’ll advise.
How much does key cutting cost?
We keep prices rock-bottom. Exact prices depend on key type and blank. Ask in-store for today’s pricing and any multi-buy deals.
Can you duplicate security or restricted keys?
Some restricted systems require proof of authorisation (e.g., security card). Bring the card/documentation. If we’re not authorised for that profile, we’ll advise next steps.
Do you cut car or chipped (transponder) keys?
No — we currently focus on household & padlock keys only.
Any tips before I come in?
- Bring the best-condition original you have
- If unsure of type, bring the keyring/lock brand or a close photo of the key head
- For mortice keys, let us know if it’s 3-lever or 5-lever
What’s the guarantee?
If a key cut by us doesn’t work, return promptly with the original and we’ll recheck and recut/replace. Keys altered after purchase (filed or bent) aren’t covered.
